Dave, Lorraine and Bailey

We're rapidly heading towards retirement. Before it's too late, we're setting ourselves up to earn a bit of extra money to bolster up our not too healthy pension pots. Lorraine's doing the admin and bookkeeping and I'm doing the other stuff.

We enjoy a boogie, almost any music will do, but Soul, Northern Soul and Rock n Roll are clear favourites.

We rehomed a little Westie, Bailey in 2016. We have a motorbike that has taken us all over Europe. Sadly it hasn't really seen much action since we got Bailey, and even less since we acquired another Bailey last year, our caravan. It blocks the garage door.

Dave - they say it's never too late...

I've had four completely different careers since I left school more than 40 years ago. I've done engineering, sales, college lecturing, and data management. Quite frankly, I've had enough now, so it's time to try something for myself.

I'm a hobby photographer and graphic designer with over 100,000 photos and videos waiting patiently to be shared with the big wide world. The photos and videos taken so far will make up most of what we have to share.

I will be the main writer of books, taker and editor of photos and videos, and designer of the printed stuff. But, give Lorraine her due: She's become quite a dab hand at photos herself.

Lorraine - reality checker

I keep Dave on the right track, striking the right balance between advising and nagging.

I'm proof reader and provider of constructive criticism.

I've think I've done a pretty good job of bringing up my two sons. They've both settled down, they're both on the property ladder, and have decent jobs.

Work wise, I've been an administrator and have done much the same type of work most of my working life.

I love animals. After losing our two cats within six months of each other, we re-homed Bailey.

I support animal sanctuaries and shelters sponsoring horses, donkeys, ponies, and giving to cats and dogs home.

Bailey - the shaggy, cute little bundle of joy

Ask the groomer or the vet, and they may have a different opinion. Try giving me my jabs, checking my teeth, or trimming my face and I might have something to say about that.

I know my own mind and if I'm off the lead, my opinion of where we're going is often very different to theirs. Sometimes they get their own way, sometimes I do. Can't let them have their own way all the time, they might get used to it.

I'm a really good traveller, I go everywhere they can practically take me. If I can't go 'cos they're doing grown up things, I get to stay with Aunty Maria.

Daddy's got a whole folder on his computer thingy called "Walking Bailey" so I'm sure I'll find my way into blogs and vlogs, and maybe even stories. I hope the fame doesn't go to my head.
